Lionel Messi and records have become two of the most inseparable things in recent times. Whenever he steps onto the pitch, the record keepers have a tough time to keep up with him.

Barcelona faced Granada last night and once again Messi was magnificent. He scored two goals including a stunning freekick. This took his goal tally to 11 goals for this 2020-21 La Liga season.

Lionel Messi has now become the first player to score 10+ goals in 15 consecutive seasons in La Liga history.

The Argentine got off to a slow start in this season but as the season progresses he is picking up the pace and is now the highest scorer in La Liga this season with 11 goals to his name. He is just phenomenal!

When Messi scored that freekick against Granada, his son Mateo Messi was overjoyed by seeing his dad’s freekick and celebrated the goal. The whole internet was breaking down after seeing Messi’s sublime freekick.

One thing is clear now that the Barcelona captain is not from this planet. He is extraterrestrial. If Messi keeps going like this, Barcelona can finally hope to win a silverware at the end of this season.
