LG Wing shown with Dual-screen Rotating display in video

LG has been showing us dual-screen smartphones along with other leading brands in the market. The foldable dial screen smartphones of LG are pretty expensive. Even with the trend of foldable smartphones are going on in the market the company is trying to keep up with it. The LG G8X is the last foldable smartphone from the company with dual screen display like the Microsoft Duo. It is now available at Rs.45,000 in Flipkart’s Qualcomm sale.

Recently a video shared by Android Authority shows a new design or prototype of a LG smartphone. The name is given LG Wing, might be because of its ‘T-shaped’ design that looks like a ‘Wing’ of the smartphone. To describe it properly, you have to understand that the phone has two segments, one that rotates and one that is the base which is still. In the video we can see a full view display said to be of 6.8-inches and a smaller display at the side of the phone, said to be of 4-inches.

Now coming to the mechanism, we can see the mobile holder in the car holding the tilted portion of the smartphone, which is originally the base of the smartphone. The upper portion of the phone is rotatable which has the larger screen and thus forming a ‘T-shaped’ design with the base which has a 4-inch display. The bigger screen has the normal primary display functions for the smartphone, the secondary screen can be used for other purposes to be accessed simultaneously.

This smartphone seems to be a prototype model of the smartphone. The phone seems to run the Google Maps in the main screen and the secondary screen is playing music and the call came later on displayed on the secondary small screen. Thus it seems the priority app is being displayed on the main display while the others get its place on the smaller one.

The phone is expected to have Snapdragon 765G this time with an upper mid-range chipset to reduce the cost of phone. Otherwise the Snapdragon 865 chipset along with this phone might have made it crazy expensive.
