LG Wing set to arrive on September 14

LG has been dead for a long time with its smartphone. Business not picking up the pace but LG is trying to change things this year with a much more streamlined business plan which started with this year’s Velvet and recently a new LG smartphone with a weird form factor. which is supposed to be a part of this new business strategy is doing the rounds on the internet for a quite while and we even got the first look of it in a leaked video shared by Android Authority and now we have a launch date for it which is set for September 14 at 11 PM KST.

LG shared a short 24 seconds video which gives us a brief look at the upcoming Wing smartphone and exactly shown as we have seen it in that leaked video. Apart from the video, the LG has also released the press statement which reveals that the company is working on two distinctive lineups, Explorer and Universal out of which the former one will be a series of devices that offer “distinctive and yet unexplored usability experiences” while the universal lineup will bring “competitive devices that focus on consumer lifestyles”.

The LG Wing is not supposed to be a cheap device anyhow and rumors suggest that the smartphone could end anywhere near the $1000 price mark and will be competing for head to head with the likes of the Galaxy Z series and Moto Razr series. As far as specifications are concerned, there will be two displays where the main one is going to be 6.8-inch big while the second one will be somewhere around 4-inches whereas for the SoC the company is expected to stick with the midrange Snapdragon 765G chipset for this one.

LG also discussed its plan to partner up with companies such as Qualcomm, Rave, Ficto, Tubi, and NAVER to build great user experience for their Explorer series devices.
