The 97-inch-wide LG Signature OLED M3 is a mammoth Smart TV. The LG Signature OLED M3 is not only bigger than other Smart TVs, but it can also work wirelessly, although not quite in the same way as the Displace TV, which also made its premiere at CES 2023.
All about LG’s New Big Thing
LG unveiled the C3, G3, and Z3 earlier this week, a trio of traditional OLED Smart TVs that will be offered later this year. The Signature OLED M3, a Smart TV that is comparable to the Displace TV but differs from the C3, G3, and Z3 series, has also been introduced by the business. In comparison to the Displace TV, which spans 55 inches across but can be joined to produce a 220-inch composite display, the Signature OLED M3 is significantly bigger.
In contrast, the 97-inch display of the Signature OLED M3 outputs natively at 4K and 120 Hz. The Signature OLED M3 gives the appearance of being wireless by streaming content from a base station, similar to the Displace TV. Having said that, unlike the Displace TV, which relies on batteries, the Signature OLED M3 uses a standard power cord. The Signature OLED M3 also uses conventional wall mounting techniques, despite Displace’s assertion that its eponymous TV can stick to flat surfaces by itself using a vacuum-based mechanism. As an alternative, LG will sell a stand specifically designed for the Signature OLED M3.
However, LG has provided details regarding the Zero Connect Box, the TV’s base station. The Zero Connect Box, for instance, has three HDMI 2.1 ports in addition to USB Type-A connections, LAN ports, and HDMI 2.1 ports. Although the distance between the Zero Connect Box and Signature OLED M3 can be up to 30 feet, they supposedly need to be in a clear line of sight of one another.
Although LG has not specified the communication protocol used by the two, it claims that the speed will be three times faster than what Wi-Fi 6 devices are capable of while still being connected to a wireless speaker. The pricing and availability of the Signature OLED M3 are currently unknown because LG has not yet provided all the information.
