LG UltraGear 38GL950G & 27GL850 are the World’s Fastest Nano IPS Gaming Monitors with 1ms Response Time
IPS LED monitors are known for their amazing picture quality and high contrast ratio. So one had to sacrifice higher refresh rates for the sake of picture quality.
LG has totally changed the concept by introducing us with World’s First 1ms refresh rate Nano IPS LED Gaming Monitors at the E3 2019. LG has launched 2wo models: the 27-inch 27GL850, with 144Hz maximum refresh rate, and 37.5-inch 38GL950G, with an overclocked maximum refresh rate of 175Hz.
These monitors are capable of reproducing 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space & 135% of the sRGB colour space, a treat for a gamer’s eye. LG promises that these monitors will give you the most immersive gaming experienced ever.
LG UltraGear 38GL950G
This is a huge 37.5-inch gaming monitor featuring a curved screen with 21.5:9 aspect ratio. This monitor boasts of a high 3840×1600 (UWQHD+) resolution and 450nits of brightness.
The 38GL950G has a virtually borderless design and a high 144Hz refresh rate which can also be overclocked to a maximum of 175Hz. Its flagship 1ms grey-to-grey response time is just amazing.
Also, this monitor is complaint with Vesa DisplayHDR 400 that means it can use AMD’s FreeSync HDR for gaming. NVIDIA has also certified this model to be G-Sync compatible.
To make it more immersive, there’s an array of RGB LED lights called Sphere Lighting 2.0 on the rear side of the monitor that can light up accordingly. Coming to the connectivity, here we have 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, and a USB 3.0 hub (1 up & 2 down) port.
LG UltraGear 27GL850
The flat 27-inch 27GL850 model has a native resolution of 2560×1440 (QHD), with a brightness of 350nits. This model too comes with HDR10 and AMD FreeSync (Vesa Adaptive Sync) certification and has also been validated by Nvidia as G-Sync compatible.
This one too has a virtually borderless screen and its stand allows tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. For the connectivity, we have 2x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, and a USB 3.0 hub (1 up & 2 down) port.
The large LG UltraGear 38GL950G monitor is priced at $1,999.99 (around Rs.1,38,840) while the UltraGear 27GL850 monitor has been priced at $499.99 (around Rs.34,710).
Pre-orders for the UltraGear 27GL850 monitor will begin from July 1st onwards in the USA and the availability of UltraGear 38GL950G has not yet been revealed.
