Today, at the interview with La Sexta’s Jordi Evole, we saw a very different and a calm Messi after all that went previously this year. He was asked a variety of questions today that were more soothing and natural.
He was asked if he ended up staying at Barcelona would be like a fairy tale and here’s what he said:
Evole: Things will end in a fairy tale ending if you decide to stay with Barcelona?
Messi: That’s true, all my life in this city …good and bad times and we’ll just have to wait and see how things work out
He is the verge of his career and has few seasons left with him, on that note, he said what he would do after his retirement:
Evole: What will you do when you cease to be ‘Lionel Messi, best player in the world’?
Messi: No idea…. something related to football but I don’t see myself as a coach, maybe a sporting director. We’ll have to see.
After the interview, Messi also prayed for a better 2021:
Evole: I’d like to be able to hug you Leo but that’s complicated with the pandemic.
Messi: Yes, I hope for better things in 2021, this has been a shitty year so let’s see what next year brings. Many thanks for the interview and I wish you well for the year ahead.
The upcoming year 2021 will indeed be very crucial as it will mark whether Messi ends up staying at Barcelona or not. So, we all as football fans hope that the Argentine stays at the club and keep his promise to play at the Camp Nou till the last date of his career.
