We’ve seen a lot of Lenovo laptops with the latest AMD Ryzen 4000U mobile APUs and the list seems to be keeping on increasing as the upcoming Lenovo ThinkBook 14s as both Energy Star and Geekbench confirm the existence of it paired with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U APU.
Previously, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14s featured the Intel Whiskey Lake processors along with AMD Radeon RX 540XÂ dedicated graphics options. So, while retaining its aluminium chassis, the laptop will feature the top-of-line 8 core 16 threaded Ryzen 7 4800U which is itself very powerful for professional workloads.
The Energy Star confirms the laptop’s model number as “14s-ARE : 20VB******” and will feature Ryzen 7 4800U paired with 8 GB RAM and shreds some light on the laptop’s power consumption.
On the other hand, the multiple Geekbench listings with “LENOVO 20VB” model number confirms the fact that Lenovo will be giving a bunch of APU options as well, including the 6-core Ryzen 5 4500U and the 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U.
Thanks to @_rogame who rightfully shows a multiple of the Lenovo ThinkBook 14s-ARE (20VB) laptops with the Ryzen 4000 APUs along with 16 GB of RAM which tells that there will be both 8GB and 16 GB RAM options.
There has been some time since Lenovo launched the ThinkBook 14s laptops and as the Renoir APU laptops are being like hot pan cakes in the market, you could expect soon the company to actually announce these laptops whose existence is now confirmed.
