Lenovo is working on a brand new Legion gaming smartphone that has been codenamed ‘Halo’ as of now. Earlier reports suggest that it is set to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-Series chipset, however, it is likely to feature a rather toned-down design in comparison to the existing Y90 gaming device.
Lenovo Legion Halo could arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset:
As per the 3C listing, the device carries the model number L71091 and the Geekbench listing reveals the RAM and OS the device packs. In terms of the chip, we will see the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset power the smartphone, and the listing does not specify the name of the chip but we have details with respect to its CPU and GPU in the official listing that confirms the same.
We will see an octa-core chipset including four CPU cores that clock in at 2.02GHz, three CPU cores that clock at 2.75GHz, and a prime core that clocks in at 3.19GHz. The CPU also arrives with an Adreno 730 GPU and as per the official listing, the device will be made available in an 8GB RAM version and it will run on Android 12 OS. It scored 1299 in the single-core test and 3953 in the multi-core test.
Apart from this, previous reports have suggested that the Legion Halo smartphone will feature a 6.67″ P-OLED FHD+ display with support for a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It will arrive with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage support.
In terms of optics, we will see a 16MP selfie shooter on the front and a 50MP+13MP+2MP setup on the rear. In terms of battery life, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. The Lenovo Legion Halo will be launching in the 3rd quarter of 2022.
