Lenovo Climbs to Its Highest-Ever #7 Spot in Gartner® Supply Chain Top 25 for 2026 — Here’s How AI Made It Happen

Lenovo has just hit a major milestone — securing its highest-ever ranking of #7 in the prestigious Gartner® Supply Chain Top 25 for 2026, climbing from #8 in 2025 and #10 in 2024. For a company managing one of the world’s most complex global supply chains, this isn’t just a number — it’s a statement.

Lenovo’s Gartner Supply Chain Rankings

Now in its 22nd year, the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is one of the most respected annual benchmarks in global operations — identifying companies that lead in supply chain maturity, resilience, and strategic execution.

The AI Engine Behind Lenovo’s Rise

Global supply chains in 2025–26 faced brutal headwinds — tariffs, component shortages, and geopolitical tensions. Lenovo didn’t just weather the storm; it built a smarter ship.

The company evolved its Supply Chain Intelligence platform into iChain, a continuously learning AI orchestration system that coordinates thousands of suppliers and more than 30 manufacturing sites globally. The results speak for themselves:

• 60% faster decision-making
• Near real-time disruption response
• 90% automation of network simulations, cutting analysis time from 2–3 weeks down to just 2–3 hours

“We not only withstand disruption; we become stronger because of it,” said Che Min Tu, Senior Vice President and Group Operations Officer, Lenovo.

A Truly Global, Anti-Fragile Supply Chain

Lenovo’s supply chain now spans more than 30 manufacturing sites across 10 markets — covering Asia Pacific, China, Europe, the Middle East & Africa, North America, and South America.

Key highlights from the past year include a new manufacturing base in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (set to produce PCs, smartphones, and servers for the MEA market), and its Monterrey, Mexico facility being named one of 12 new additions to the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network — an elite community of 201 leading manufacturers using advanced technologies at scale. This makes Monterrey Lenovo’s second site to earn the recognition, following Hefei, China in 2023.

In the US, Lenovo’s Whitsett, North Carolina campus — spanning 800,000+ square feet and employing approximately 1,100 people — continues to anchor server manufacturing and order fulfilment operations.

Business Impact: Market Leadership Widening

This supply chain excellence is directly fueling business results. Lenovo retained its #1 position in global PC market share, with the gap to its nearest competitor widening to its largest level in 15 years. Meanwhile, integrating its Infrastructure Solutions Group into the broader supply network has supported record operating profit and margins.

As demand for AI servers, liquid-cooled infrastructure, and enterprise solutions surges, Lenovo’s supply chain is scaling to match — a single PC alone contains an average of 2,500 components, making operational precision non-negotiable.
