Liverpool have now fallen six points behind league leaders Manchester City, with their 1-0 loss against Leicester City in the Premier League. City had defeated the Foxes by a huge margin only a few days ago, and they came back strong with a win against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Merseyside club are now level on points with Chelsea, at 41 each. They are in second place on goal difference, but are in danger of falling behind.

Mohamed Salah had the perfect chance to earn an early lead for his team thanks to a penalty. However, he was stopped by Kasper Schmeichel and could not find the net from the rebound either. This is the first time that the Egyptian has missed a spot kick in years.

Sadio Mane would also have a golden opportunity to give Liverpool the lead, but his shooting boots were missing as well. The Senegalese could not find the back of the net either, and it ultimately ended up being a costly mistake.

Ademola Lookman would score the winner for Brendan Rodgers, as he defeated his former employers 1-0 to dent their title ambitions. Leicester’s inconsistencies are on display yet again, as they defeated a top club like Liverpool and took all three points off of them.

They are now in ninth place in the table, and are trying to find a way back to higher places. The win against Liverpool will certainly be a big boost in confidence for them.
