Leeds United have confirmed the arrival of Jesse Marsch as the new head coach, following the dismissal of Marcelo Bielsa. The new head coach is only the second American ever to manage a Premier League club.

He was previously in charge of RB Leipzig, and RB Salzburg. However, he left the German club after five months in charge with a poor run of results by their standards as well.

“We are delighted to welcome Jesse to the club and excited for him to lead us into this new chapter. Jesse is someone we identified a number of years ago during his time at Red Bull Salzburg and we believe his philosophy and style of football aligns with that of the club and will suit the players very well. We have a long-term plan and firmly believe he can take Leeds United to the next level and are excited for what the future holds.”

Jesse Marsch will be tasked with helping the team survive in the Premier League this season. Marcelo Bielsa had to cope with the absence of several key players due to injury, and with them expected to return in the coming weeks, we can expect a change in fortune.

Marsch’s style of football isn’t as intense as Bielsa, although he demands aggressiveness and intensity from his team as well. So, there is a chance that the team could have a smooth transition back to winning ways under the new head coach.
