Reportedly, Redmi is in the development phase of its flagship phone, the Redmi K70 Ultra, specifically designed for the Chinese market. Towards the end of the previous year, the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed the key specifications of the device without explicitly identifying it. Recently, the same leaker has provided additional details about the anticipated Redmi K70 Ultra.

In a shared screenshot, Digital Chat Station discusses an upcoming phone without directly naming it. Based on insights from Chinese media and discussions within the Weibo post’s comments section, it appears that the leaker is referring to the Redmi K70 Ultra.
According to the leak, the smartphone will boast an 8T LTPO OLED panel with exceptionally slim bezels. The display is expected to deliver a sharp 1.5K resolution, with a peak brightness potentially reaching an impressive 5,000 nits. Powering the device will be the Dimensity 9300 chipset, as per previous leaks linking this chip to the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra in the Chinese market.
The leak further reveals that the device will feature a groundbreaking 24 GB of LPDDR5T RAM, showcasing the latest advancements in RAM technology. Currently, only the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones offer LPDDR5T RAM, but they are limited to a maximum of 16 GB in their highest configurations. Moreover, the LPDDR5T variants of the X100 series are exclusively available in the Chinese market. This leak hints at the Redmi K70 Ultra potentially being the first smartphone to introduce 24 GB of LPDDR5T RAM.
Additionally, the leak suggests that the K70 Ultra will provide an extensive 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Other reports also indicate that the device may retain the IP68-rated chassis seen in the K60 Ultra, ensuring water and dust resistance. Furthermore, an aluminum frame is expected to enhance the device’s durability.
