Leaked: Microsoft to redesign the Xbox Store for 2020

The year 2020 is a big one for Microsoft, much due to the fact of the upcoming Xbox Series X, apart from upgrading the hardware on the Xbox, Microsoft also plans to revamp its Xbox store as well. The new UI of the Xbox store is codenamed, Mercury and @WinCommunity over on Twitter did manage to get a look of the new store first.

Whereas, Windows Central did manage to make a hands-on video on the new Xbox store that will be targeted for both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles.

As we see in the images and video, Microsoft has given a fluent design which gives a modern feel to the new store and also it feels fast & snappy. Also, we see the design aesthetic has been taken from the Xbox (Beta) app and the new Xbox Game Bar on PC with rounded corners, a new and bolder font, along with tons of acrylic blur.

The animations also feel good and the collection of games from various publishers synchronized all together, with proper deals and other stuff, makes it much more modern. This leaked version is running on a Windows 10 PC in development mode, so it will be great if Microsoft applies the visual update on the Windows 10 Microsoft Store as well.

There are no official words on this but we can expect this new version to release it to Xbox Insiders, and in fact, this new Xbox Store application was first spotted on the Xbox Insider program that actually gave away the codename Mercury.
