Lazio have confirmed the arrival of Igor Tudor as their new head coach after the departure of Maurizio Sarri last week. The veteran has joined the club after leaving Marseille a few weeks ago, and will oversee his first game in charge after the international break when the club faces Juventus.
Tudor will have some off time to plan things out with his new team, so that they can hit the ground running against Juventus, who haven’t been in the best form themselves either. Igor Tudor has signed a contract until 2025 with the option for another year included.

“Sarri suddenly resigned and we tried to convince him to stay. The truth is that it bothers some that we managed to resolve the problem in 24 hours on the first and only appointment,” Lazio president Claudio Lotito said.
“I picked up the phone, met the agents and received the appreciation of Tudor, who had rejected Napoli and Roma.”
The Biancocelesti president then ruled out the possible sale of the club, despite recent rumours.
“I have not given any mandate to a group of advisors to search for buyers who can help or take over the club. Everything is false, pure inventions. I’m not selling.”
It now remains to be seen how things work out for Tudor at Lazio after failing to deliver at Marseille earlier this season.
