Inter Milan are set to add another midfielder to their ranks this summer, with Lazar Samardzic on his way to the club. The player will make the move from Udinese, with Giovanni Fabbian moving in the other direction. Inter will pay a sum worth €15 million for the player, and will also include Fabbian as part of the deal, which means that the total valuation comes to around €25 million.
A buyback clause has been inserted in the clause for Fabbian, which is valued at €12 million in 2024. It will rise to €15 million in 2025, and will still be valid for activation only for Inter.
Lazar Samardzic to join Inter Milan from Udinese
The 21-year-old scored five goals and provided four assists in 37 Serie A games for Udinese this past season. As a result, he will be a valuable addition to the club, which already has Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella and new addition Davide Frattesi.
The Nerazzurri lost Marcelo Brozovic to Al Nassr, and will be without an important veteran. But they are hopeful of being able to replace him with Lazar Samardzic and Frattesi.
Inter have also agreed a deal with Bayern to sign Yann Sommer as their new first-choice goalkeeper. The Swiss international will take the place of Andre Onana in the squad, after he left for Manchester United a few weeks ago. Inter have also signed Marcus Thuram on a free transfer to bolster their attack after losing Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko.
They are also expected to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, and are currently leading the race to sign the player.
