When tragedy strikes, two people who can barely stand each other suddenly become co-parents overnight. tvN’s latest romance drama Our Universe (우주를 줄게) delivers an emotional rollercoaster as Bae In-hyuk and Roh Jeong-eui transform from bickering in-laws to unlikely guardians raising their 20-month-old nephew after a devastating accident claims their siblings’ lives.

The Unlikely Guardians

Bae In-hyuk stars as Sun Tae-hyung, a talented photography assistant who values freedom above all. Despite his prickly exterior, he carries wounds from being abandoned at an orphanage by his brother 16 years ago. The tragedy forces them to reunite.

Roh Jeong-eui plays Woo Hyun-jin, a cheerful job seeker dreaming of ordinary life. Suddenly raising her nephew with her temperamental in-law pushes her beyond her comfort zone.

Love Triangle Alert

Park Seo-ham joins the chaos as Yoon-sung, Hyun-jin’s first love, adding romantic tension to the already complicated living arrangement. Will old flames reignite while she navigates single parenthood with her frustrating in-law?

What Makes It Special

The newly released main poster perfectly captures the drama’s tone: baby Woo-joo cheerfully throwing cereal mid-air while colorful toys and spilled snacks create absolute mayhem. The production team promises “chaotic cohabitation romance” as the inexperienced guardians stumble through parenting mishaps, gradually breaking down their misunderstandings.

Directors Lee Hyun-seok and Jung Yeo-jin, working from scripts by Soo-jin, Jeon Yu-ri, and Shin Yi-hyun, emphasize personal growth alongside the romantic development. As the tvN announcement states: “They will bring about changes in one another while touching viewers’ hearts.”

This marks tvN’s return to its Wednesday-Thursday time slot after a three-year hiatus, signaling high network confidence in the project.
