Later this month, Lava Prowatch is set to launch in India, at least that is what the company has announced. Ahead of its India unveiling, the indigenous smartphone brand has begun to tease several features of the upcoming smartwatch on social media. Based on the teasers, it is clear that the Lava Prowatch will offer health-tracking features, while interchangeable straps may be supported. The smartwatch is also expected to have a sturdy display capable of withstanding scratches and a fast user interface.
The All New Lava Prowatch
The Lava Prowatch, according to a media invite released on Tuesday, will be revealed in India on April 23 at 11 AM on Lava’s YouTube channel. While the invite indicates that the Prowatch will boast a circular display, further details about the wearable device are yet to be disclosed by the company.
In the meantime, the teasers released by Lava for various platforms like X provide some indication of the Prowatch’s specifications. For example, one image implies that the wearables feature a robust display that can absorb external force and is resistant to scratches. Other pictures indicate that the circular displays fit in a metallic body with one button and a crown.
Furthermore, Lava has hinted at fitness tracking functionalities such as activity and heart rate monitoring, claiming superior accuracy compared to other products. Another teaser suggests compatibility with interchangeable straps. However, it remains uncertain whether the device will operate on Google’s Wear OS, enabling users to install apps on the smartwatch.
The upcoming Lava Prowatch is anticipated to be the brand’s second fitness tracker, following the launch of the Lava BeFIT in January 2021. The Lava BeFIT featured SpO2 monitoring, along with support for fitness and sleep tracking, notification mirroring, and water resistance. More details regarding the Lava Prowatch are expected to be revealed in the coming days ahead of its launch in India.
