Lava O2’s upcoming launch in India was officially confirmed by the company through a post on X (previously known as Twitter) Friday. Along with the announcement they gave a sneak peek of the phone design suggesting that it will soon hit the market in the coming days or weeks. The anticipated Lava smartphone will be up for sale on Amazon and a listing on the online shopping platform has already revealed some details about the device before its official release in India.

In the teaser image shared on X, the Lava O2 is presented in an eye-catching color showcasing a rear camera setup placed at the top left corner. Notably the camera setup has a look that changes its appearance when viewed from angles. The back panel also features a Lava logo at the bottom corner which seems to have a matte finish. Additionally, a brief video teaser highlights that the Lava O2 comes with a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille positioned at its edge.
Meanwhile, an active listing for the Lava O2 is currently live on Amazon offering details about this smartphone’s specifications. The phone will also come in a Majestic Purple color option with a panel made from AG Glass. It is mentioned in the listing that the Lava O2 will feature a 6.5-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a hole punch design for the selfie camera placement.
The Amazon listing further reveals that the Lava O2 will be powered by an octa-core Unisoc T616 chipset, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Noteworthy is the claim that the device is expected to achieve a benchmark score exceeding 250,000 points in the AnTuTu performance test.
Camera-wise, the handset is slated to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. Biometric authentication is facilitated by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as indicated by the product listing on the e-commerce platform.
