Lava has introduced the new Agni 2 5G in India as the Agni smartphone’s successor. After being discovered through several leaks over the previous few weeks, the phone is officially confirmed to exist. Similar to the OPPO Find X6 Pro, the Lava Agni 2 5G has a green, curved rear panel with a sizable, spherical camera module.

It now has a 3D Dual Curved AMOLED panel, making it the most affordable phone in India. The device’s MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, the first to be found in an Indian phone, is another major selling point. The Lava Agni 2 5G has only been released in one configuration in India, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it costs Rs 21,999. Users can get a flat Rs 2,000 discount as an introductory offer when paying with any of the major credit or debit cards. The Agni 2 5G’s effective price now stands at Rs 19,999. On May 24 at 10 AM, it will be put up for sale on Amazon. It appears that the device will only be offered in green for the time being.

The Lava Agni 2 5G has a glass back. It features a 6.78-inch 3D Dual curved AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The panel will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors, HDR, HDR 10 and HDR 10+, and Widevine L1. The Agni 2 5G is the first gadget in India to use the most recent MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. The chipset is reportedly a renamed version of the Mediatek Dimensity 1080.

The System-on-Chip (SoC) is equipped with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, 8GB of virtual RAM is supported. The Android 13 operating system is loaded. According to Lava, the mobile device is free of bloatware and advertisements. The business guarantees three years of security fixes and two years of Android updates. It supports all 13 5G bands for connectivity. The Agni 2’s 4700mAh battery supports 66W rapid charging, which is said to enable users to reach 50% charge in under 16 minutes.

It has a quad camera arrangement with a 50MP resolution on the rear. Lava hasn’t given up all the sensor information, but rumors said that it had a back camera with two 2MP sensors and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It supports in-display fingerprints and face unlock for biometrics. Users of the Lava Agni 2 5G will receive free repair or a free replacement at their residence during the warranty period. With the device, the company is providing a year of warranty.
