Latest Marvel’s Avengers Patch 2.2 will bring Spider-Man to the Avenger’s roaster

Marvel’s Avengers will soon be getting its new Patch 2.2 on November 30 and with this patch, our friendly neighbourhood spider-man will be officially joining the roaster however, he will be a PlayStation-exclusive hero.

This marks the first expansion for Square Enix’s live-service game since Black Panther: War for Wakanda launched on August 17. the in-game story of the web-slinger will be centred around partnering with the Avenger’s team to stop AIM’s plans for an unstoppable Synthroid army.

We also get to see some interpersonal drama where spidy must choose whether to continue working with the Avengers or to stay solo in his heroic expeditions. The new patch will also bring a new four-player raid called the Klaw Raid.

System Updates:

  • Power-Level Increase–The maximum Power Level will increase from 150 to 175.
  • Gear Upgrading–Gear of a higher power level will be recyclable and can be used to upgrade current gear to match the higher-power level of the consumed item (with a few exceptions).
  • Shipments–Costing 500 Units each, Shipments contain select Cosmetics, resources, and other items. Players will be able to view what’s in each Shipment box before purchase. There will also be a premium Outfit available only via Shipment purchases. Players can earn it in two ways. The first is luck: Each Shipment box has a small chance of containing the Outfit. The second method is to reach 100 Shipment purchases. Players will then be automatically gifted the exclusive Outfit.
  • Per-Hero Weekly Objectives–Players can now farm weekly rewards once a week for each eligible Hero in limited scenarios, which is different from the previous policy of one Hero per week. This policy will first be limited to Super Adaptoid Mission Chain and the Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound, but may expand to other activities in the future.

Square Enix’s president Yosuke Matsuda admitted that the game has “unfortunately not proven as successful as we would have liked,”.
