Chelsea transfer news has been in abundance since the arrival of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. But this time around, it comes in the form of Ben Chilwell’s contract extension.

The former Leicester City left-back has been one of the only reliable performers for the club over the last few seasons. And having impressed the coaches and the board during his time with the club so far, he is set to sign a new four-year contract. His current deal will run out in 2025, which fuelled transfer interest from Manchester City. But, this will put those rumours to rest.

With Chilwell renewing his deal until 2027, there is more good news for Chelsea fans in these tough times. Joao Felix has been good to watch on the pitch during his time at the club, even though he has only scored twice.

The Portugal international has been one of the brightest attackers during the second half of the season, and has adapted very well to life in London. However, he is still on loan from Atletico Madrid.

But given the way things are going, the move could be made permanent. Talks between the two clubs are expected to take place soon over a price tag for the transfer.

More Chelsea transfer news surrounding a mass clearout of the first team squad can be expected as the transfer window approaches.
