Kylian Mbappe hints at surprise PSG stay beyond 2022 in latest interview

Kylian Mbappe has been the subject of constant transfer speculation, with the player expected to join Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer.

However, he spoke to Prime Video recently and refused to rule out a stay at PSG. The player also referenced the rumours that he has been awarded the captaincy of the club to get him to stay.

Kylian Mbappe talks about club future

Here is what Kylian Mbappe had to say about the current situation of his contract:

“I haven’t made my choice on the future, everyone knows that. I’m thinking, there are NEW elements and a lot of parameters. If I had made my decision, I would’ve announced it” (referencing the captaincy situation)

“Is it possible to stay at PSG? Yes, of course”

“There is no need to talk a lot… there are new elements that I will consider for my future. It’s not an easy decision, my family will help me”.

“I don’t want to make any mistake. My choice hasn’t been made, the whole world knows that”.

Kylian Mbappe is yet to sign a new deal with PSG. His contract runs out in the summer, and several attempts have been made by the club to get him to sign a new deal. He has not yet committed to Paris for the coming years, but could still be swayed in that direction. Should he choose to turn down Madrid in hopes of a stay at PSG, Los Blancos could be dealt a solid blow in their transfer plans for the summer.
