Kubera Budget Breakdown: How Much Did the Stars Actually Earn?

The much-anticipated social thriller Kubera has cinema lovers buzzing, and not just for its gripping storyline. With a Kubera budget reportedly reaching Rs 120 crores, fans are curious about how these massive funds were distributed among the star-studded cast. Let’s dive into the fascinating financial details behind this Sekhar Kammula directorial.

Kubera Budget: The Big Picture

Director Sekhar Kammula’s ambitious project carries a hefty price tag of approximately Rs 120 crores. This substantial investment reflects the scale and star power backing the film, which features some of South Indian cinema’s biggest names.

Dhanush Commands Lion’s Share of Kubera Budget

Tamil superstar Dhanush walks away with the largest slice of the Kubera budget, reportedly earning Rs 30 crores—a staggering 36% of the film’s total production cost. His massive fanbase across Tamil and Telugu cinema justifies this premium pricing, as he plays the pivotal role of Deva.

The actor’s commanding screen presence and proven box office track record make him the highest-paid star in the ensemble cast, setting a new benchmark for South Indian cinema remuneration.

Nagarjuna’s Impressive Payday

Veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, portraying the mysterious Deepak, secured a substantial Rs 14 crores for his role. His somber yet shadowy character has already generated significant intrigue based on the film’s trailer. As the second-highest-paid actor in the film, Nagarjuna’s fee reflects his enduring star power and market value.

Rashmika’s Strategic Fee Reduction

Interestingly, National crush Rashmika Mandanna reportedly accepted Rs 4 crores for her role as Sameera—significantly lower than her Rs 10 crore fee for Pushpa 2. Despite the reduced compensation, Rashmika is generating considerable buzz as she shares screen space with industry heavyweights Dhanush and Nagarjuna for the first time.

The Kubera budget allocation demonstrates how strategic casting and star power can shape a film’s financial structure. With June 20 earmarked for theatrical release, audiences eagerly await whether this Rs 120 crore investment translates into box office gold.
