KRAFTON India Unveils CookieRun India: Download Starts December 11th!

KRAFTON India has exciting news for gamers! In collaboration with Devsisters, they have officially announced the launch of CookieRun India, a casual runner mobile game designed specifically for Indian audiences. The game has already garnered an impressive 1 million pre-registrations and will be available for download on Android and iOS starting December 11, 2024.

A Unique Gaming Experience Tailored for India

CookieRun India takes the beloved elements of the globally popular CookieRun series and infuses them with a rich cultural experience that resonates with Indian players. The game features cookie characters inspired by iconic Indian sweets like Gulab Jamun and Kaju Katli, making it a delightful blend of fun and familiarity. Additionally, players can look forward to localized in-game events that enhance the immersive experience, ensuring that every player feels connected to the game.

Insights from the Launch Event

At the launch event held in New Delhi, Minu Lee, Head of Publishing at KRAFTON India, shared her excitement about the game and the collaboration with Devsisters. She stated, “We’re beyond excited to bring CookieRun India to life in collaboration with Devsisters and are thrilled by the incredible response it has received so far. This game perfectly blends casual fun with Indian elements, uniquely tailored for Indian players, offering them a fresh take on the beloved series.”

Minu also highlighted KRAFTON India’s ambitious plans for 2025, stating, “2024 has been remarkable for us at KRAFTON India, and we aim to build on this momentum by introducing 3-4 new game titles in the country in 2025. Our continued efforts, including strategic investments and support for local talent, reflect our vision to redefine gaming in India and create a thriving, inclusive gaming ecosystem.”

Celebrating Success in 2024

KRAFTON India has had a stellar year, with BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) surpassing 200 million downloads and setting new records in esports viewership. The successful launches of titles like Bullet Echo India and Road to Valor: Empires further demonstrate the company’s commitment to creating immersive and localized gaming experiences that resonate with Indian players.

Looking Ahead: More Games on the Horizon

As KRAFTON India gears up for the launch of CookieRun India, they are also focused on the future. The company plans to introduce 3-4 new titles in 2025, reinforcing its mission to provide diverse and engaging gaming experiences for Indian audiences. Additionally, KRAFTON India is dedicated to nurturing local talent through initiatives like the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) and plans to invest over $140 million in Indian startups in the coming years.
