Seven years after their debut, League of Legends’ virtual hip-hop group is making a comeback. On September 29, local time, Riot Games announced that True Damage will perform the 2026 World Championship anthem, “Know My Name.” It’s a historic first, as this is the first time one of Riot’s virtual artists will perform the Worlds anthem.

Soyeon Returns as Akali
Fans of the original will be happy to hear that i-dle’s Soyeon is back as the voice of Akali, the role she played on the group’s 2019 single “GIANTS.” That song was True Damage’s last release, so this marks their first new music since then. Soyeon said it’s an honor to return, adding that she can’t wait to see how League fans react and that she’s excited to build an amazing opening ceremony with players and fans.
Meet the New Voices
True Damage is made up of five in-game champions: Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna and Yasuo. This time, Soyeon is joined by three newcomers. Coco Jones voices Senna, Vic Mensa voices Ekko and Sofia Reyes voices Qiyana. Yasuo remains the group’s DJ and producer. That mix of K-pop, R&B, hip-hop and Latin pop should give the anthem a wide international appeal.

“Know My Name” will arrive on all major streaming platforms on October 8 at 6 p.m. PT, which is October 9 at 10 a.m. KST. For fans in India, that works out to 6:30 a.m. IST on October 9, so it’s an early-morning listen. The music video premieres at the same time on the official League of Legends YouTube channel.
Live at the Opening Ceremony
After the release, True Damage will perform at the Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony on November 14 at Barclays Center in New York. Riot hasn’t shared more about the live production in the announcement, but the group’s last appearance was a major moment at the League of Legends World Championship, so expectations are high.
