A Goblin Story With a Serious Director Behind It

“Dochabi,” whose title refers to goblins, is reportedly a historical action film set to be directed by Ahn Tae Jin, known for helming The Night Owl and Season 2 of Signal.

That director pairing matters. Both of Ahn Tae Jin’s previous works are known for sharp pacing and atmospheric tension — qualities that translate perfectly to a goblin-mythology-meets-action concept. If the script matches the ambition of the title, this could be one of Netflix Korea’s more distinctive offerings of 2027.

In response to the casting report, Kim Do Hoon’s agency Peak J Entertainment stated that he is “positively reviewing the offer.” Not confirmed yet — but the signs are encouraging.

What Is Kim Do Hoon Working on Right Now?

Dochabi isn’t his only project in the pipeline. Kim Do Hoon is currently filming the upcoming tvN drama Retired Agent + Management Team, which is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year. If Dochabi filming kicks off in August as planned, he’ll be moving from one project straight into another — a schedule that reflects just how in-demand he’s become.
