Kiara Advani Tears Up Talking About Postpartum — “Nobody Talks About It, and It Should Be Spoken About More”

In a moment that resonated deeply with millions of mothers across the country, Kiara Advani broke her silence — and broke down in tears — while speaking about her postpartum journey for the first time on a public platform. Appearing on Raj Shamani’s podcast in May 2026, the actress didn’t hold back, speaking with raw honesty about the emotional identity shift that followed the birth of her daughter Saraayah Malhotra with husband Sidharth Malhotra.

What she said deserves to be heard far and wide.

Kiara Advani & Sidharth’s Family — Overview

What Kiara Said — And Why It Matters

Kiara’s words on the podcast were unscripted and deeply personal. She called postpartum an identity shift — not just a physical recovery but a complete reimagining of who you are as a person. Her core message was simple but powerful: women going through it need to give themselves grace, and the world needs to talk about it more openly.

She described six months of internal work — telling herself to stop the cycle of self-criticism, learning to set boundaries for the first time at age 34, and consciously choosing to nurture her relationship with herself rather than always giving outward.

Perhaps the most striking thing she shared was that motherhood, despite its challenges, ultimately gave her something she had never truly had before — a reason to put herself first. For someone who describes herself as “other-centric” her whole life, that shift was both difficult and profoundly healing.

Saraayah’s Arrival and the Road to Healing

Kiara and Sidharth welcomed Saraayah in July 2025, announcing her arrival via a joint Instagram post. Her name was revealed shortly after, and she has been at the heart of Kiara’s most honest conversations about life since. Their love story began on the sets of Shershaah, blossomed over years, and culminated in a fairy-tale wedding in Jaisalmer in 2023.

The postpartum conversation Kiara is now having publicly is one that Indian celebrity culture rarely supports — making her openness not just brave, but genuinely needed.
