Hyundai has been at the forefront of the SUV race in India and the Creta has been the consistent best-seller in the country. But now, Hyundai’s sister brand Kia, is about to rattle the cages with an SUV the likes of which India has never seen. This upcoming vehicle, dubbed the Kia Syros, features Kia’s bold, futuristic design philosophy. The company has previewed the Syros’ interior, which will showcase its advanced tech and supple styling, ahead of an upcoming launch.

Kia Syros Teased Ahead of December 19 Launch: Futuristic SUV with Panoramic Sunroof and Luxurious Interiors

From the exterior profile, the Kia Syros looks similar to the Hyundai Casper with its tall and boxy design, but it’s bigger in volume. Though the Casper is a tiny 3.6-metre-long automobile, the Syros looks larger, with greatly improved technology and living comfort. The exact size category it will fall under is yet to be confirmed. Kia calls the Syros, which is set to be officially revealed on December 19, 2024, the “Future of SUVs” and indicates a major evolution in the segment.

It also shows a panoramic sunroof, which was previously spotted in camouflaged versions of the Ford. The Syros gold-a-pearl-shaped start button is positioned in the center, parking help controls with a 360-degree camera view, and a premium equipment selector. Other notable features include a wireless charging pad, contemporary Type-C ports, ambient light for a more luxurious feel, and a unique two-spokes steering wheel with the offset logo, found in the new Kia K4.

That said, spy shots indicate the new car’s interior will be highlighted by dual 10.2-inch displays, and it will pack an impressive list of creature comforts, including front and rear ventilated seats, plus rear AC vents. The innovative interior is set off by a matching exterior design, which features vertical LED headlights, sleek and integrated LED DRLs, an interesting rear LED tail light signature, flush door handles, and geometric-pattern alloy wheels. Kia hasn’t released any details on the powertrain yet, but the Syros should be offered in both EV and ICE guises. The Kia Syros is loaded with features and innovative design elements to change how SUVs are viewed in India.
