The promo from The Great Indian Kapil Show’s Instagram started with Kartik Aaryan nervously saying, “I’ve never been this nervous before.” His mother, Mala Tiwari, interjected, declaring, “I will only speak the truth.” Kartik then jokingly pleaded with her, “Please say something positive about me.”
Kapil Sharma joined in with a quip, “If Mala Tiwari keeps such a close eye on her son, I wonder what she does to you,” referring to Kartik’s father, Dr. Manish Tiwari. Mala also took on the role of matchmaker, interviewing girls from the audience. When one mentioned she was a doctor, Kartik blushed. The comedy series premieres on June 21, Saturday, at 9 PM on Netflix.

Kartik is currently occupied with Anees Bazmee’s horror-comedy “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.” He reprises his role as Ruhaan Randhawa, also known as Rooh Baba, continuing from “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.” Vidya Balan, who starred in the original “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” directed by Priyadarshan alongside Akshay Kumar, returns for the latest sequel. Tripti Dimri, known for her role in “Animal,” joins the franchise. Produced under Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film is in production and scheduled for release during Diwali 2024.
