Anupam Kher Urges People To Watch “Kaagaz 2”
“Kaagaz 2,” which marks the final film appearance of Satish Kaushik, who passed away on March 9, 2023, is now available for streaming on Prime Video. Anupam Kher, in an Instagram Reel posted on Wednesday, urged the audience to watch the film. In his post, Kher wrote, “Please watch Satish Kaushik’s last film Kaagaz 2 on @amazonprime. It is an issue-based film. I promise you will like it!” In the accompanying video, he further emphasized the importance of the film, stating, “It’s on Prime Video and I’ll be very happy if you watch it. And, enjoy the film, it’s thought-provoking… It’s an important film of our time. Jai Ho.”

Anupam Kher takes on the role of an advocate, representing Satish’s case in the legal arena, where he encounters numerous life-threatening challenges. Produced by Shashi Satish Kaushik, Ratan Jain, and Ganesh Jain under Satish Kaushik Entertainment LLP and Venus Worldwide Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the film also features Darshan Kumaar and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.

Talking to ANI recently, the actor said, “It was his (Satish Kaushik) passion project. He was working for 2 years on this project. This is based on true incidents. He was so passionate about the subject. He met many people, the protests taken out by political parties and other organisations, however genuine the cause is for their coming on the streets but a section of people get affected by it.”
He added, “In this movie, the daughter of Satish Kaushik’s character could become an IAS officer but she meets with an accident and there is a political rally going on and her ambulance gets stuck in it and she dies. I play the role of the lawyer who defends the daughter of Satish Jee in the movie.”
Screening of Satish Kaushik’s “Kaagaz 2” Attended by Family
A special screening of the late actor Satish Kaushik’s film “Kaagaz 2” took place in Mumbai on a February evening, with his wife Shashi Kaushik and their daughter Vanshika in attendance. Anupam Kher, a close friend of Satish and also part of the film, shared a video on Instagram where he conversed with Satish’s wife and daughter.
In the clip, Anupam sat alongside Vanshika and Shashi, engaging in conversation. He inquired about Vanshika’s thoughts on the film, to which she responded, “Bohut acchi (Very good).” When prompted about what she liked besides Satish’s performance, Vanshika mentioned, “Aapka role (Your role).” Anupam, visibly pleased, responded, “You like my role?” as Vanshika nodded in agreement.
Anupam added, “Vanshika, you were so important in the audience. Today was the first screening of Kaagaz 2, you came to watch with your mother, and you liked the film, I’m very, very happy.” When Anupam asked if she wanted to say something else, she replied, “No.”
Anupam expressed his sentiments, sharing how much he missed Satish. He then turned to Shashi to discuss the film, and she expressed her admiration, saying, “I liked the film. All the characters were very good. I like Satish’s work a lot.” Anupam chimed in, calling it one of Satish’s finest performances.
Addressing Vanshika, he asked for her opinion, to which she nodded in agreement. Anupam emphasized the brilliance of Satish’s portrayal, adding, “Satish’s performance was one of the best. I also missed him.” An emotional moment ensued as Anupam and Vanshika exchanged smiles, with Anupam tenderly kissing her head. When someone nearby remarked that Satish lives on in the hearts of his fans, Anupam acknowledged, “Of course.”
Reflecting on the emotional experience after watching the film, Anupam shared the clip, writing, “After the soulful 1st screening of Satish Kaushik’s Kaagaz 2, it was quite an emotional moment to speak to Vanshika and Shashi Kaushik. What an amazing issue-based last film of my friend Satish!”
