Julian Nagelsmann has ended negotiations with Chelsea to become their new head coach. The German was reportedly the favourite to take over, after Graham Potter was sacked by the board.
But after several conversations with the hierarchy, he has decided that it won’t be possible for him to succeed at Chelsea. The former Bayern Munich boss wanted to wait until the summer to take over, which is probably why Chelsea appointed Frank Lampard until the end of the season. But now, he has decided that this is not the project for him to take up.
