Jonathan Clauss is set to join Marseille in the coming days. An agreement has been reached between Lens and Marseille over an €8 million fee for the wing-back. He has now completed his medical for the transfer, and is set to be announced as a new arrival for the club very soon.

There were rumours that he would be joining Manchester United in the last few days – even though they signed Tyrell Malacia. The player himself said that he dreamt of playing for Chelsea, but the Blues never made any bid for him. And now, he is set to remain in Ligue 1 and play in the Champions League this season.

Clauss is set to sign his contract very soon to become a new player for the French side. He will be followed by Colombian striker Luis Suarez, who is also set to become a new Marseille player.

After Isaak Toure and Chancel Mbemba, Jonathan Clauss could be the next signing for them this summer. They have made the deal for Matteo Guendouzi permanent this summer.

With eight goals and 18 assists over the past couple of years, the player has established himself as one of the best wing-backs in the league. Now, he is on his way to one of the best teams in the country and could earn a place in the France national team ahead of the World Cup as well.
