The John Wick universe officially gives a confirmation. On Tuesday, Lionsgate unveiled Ballerina began such principal photography in Prague with the confirmation of the film into the next known as the John Wick Universe. By hailing always with the new spin-off of the John Wick movie franchise, Tuesday’s release is the first confirmation from studio officials as the property is set to expand into that shared cinematic universe.
The film also features Ana De Armas as the lead of the film. Ballerina is expected to deep dive into the group of characters that have been led by Anjelica Huston’s The Director revealed in John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum.
The news has been reinforced by that additional reporting on exposing both Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane collaborated on the film serving as the connective tissue between the main franchise and the first film spin-off.

Additionally, Ballerina, Lionsgate is developing the Continental which is a prequel based on the Continental prequel series following a younger version of McShane’s Winston set the decades prior for the film franchise. On developing by Starz at first, the new event series has since been moved to Peacock as the streamer looking to beef up the library.
Things are yet to be reported and getting rumored, Halle Berry seemingly just teased earlier this year her Parabellum character Sofia is set to get a solo project.
IGN said, “Sofia’s not in the next John Wick movie,” and also added, “There could be a Sofia. Her film. So, she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thingy.”
Apart from The Continental and Ballerina, however, no further spinoffs getting declared by Lionsgate.
Ballerina and The Continental have yet to set release dates when John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit theaters on 24th March 2023.
