JKC Sports has announced a strategic investment in Sheru Classic Universe, a global fitness, health, and wellness platform operating across nine countries. The move, disclosed during the closing day of IHFF x Sheru Classic 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, targets the brand’s global expansion and aims to provide Indian talent with a pathway to international stages.
Madhav Singhania, Co-Founder of JKC Sports and CEO & Joint Managing Director of JK Cement, highlighted the investment’s broader objectives. “Beyond the investment itself, we see Sheru Classic as a platform for Make-in-India talent to reach a global stage,” Singhania stated. He outlined plans to establish new platforms across technology, infrastructure, and fitness intellectual properties (IPs), creating a direct route for Indian athletes to competitions like the Mr. Olympia.
The IHFF x Sheru Classic 2026 event in New Delhi attracted approximately 250 participants from five countries and an estimated 1.5 lakh visitors over its three-day duration.
JKC Sports Strategic Vision for Indian Fitness
The investment in Sheru Classic Universe (https://sheruclassic.com/) forms part of a larger strategy by JKC Sports, co-founded by Madhav Singhania and Dr. Raghavpat Singhania. The company is actively developing initiatives in sports technology, infrastructure, and new fitness IPs, with the goal of fostering Indian athletes from grassroots levels to global competition.

Singhania contextualized the investment within India’s evolving landscape, noting the nation’s young demographic, burgeoning sporting culture, and increasing role as a host for major events. He also cited the government’s Fit India Movement and Khelo India program as catalysts for national fitness.
“India is a young nation on its way to becoming a global superpower, and fitness, health and wellness will be the differentiator that makes this generation more productive and more invested in nation-building,” Singhania remarked, linking the initiative to the JK Group’s long-standing philosophy of nation-building.
Sheru Aangrish, founder of Sheru Classic, welcomed the partnership, emphasizing its potential to empower Indian athletes. “For years, Indian athletes have had the talent but not always the platform,” Aangrish commented. “JKC Sports coming on board helps us change that, and carry more of our home-grown talent from the gym floor here to the biggest stages in the world.”
The collaboration underscores a growing focus on integrating sports and wellness into India’s economic and social fabric, a trend frequently covered in our latest industry developments.
