The first 5G smartphone from Reliance Jio was said to be coming to India in July of last year. In July of this year, the device was scheduled to go on sale. No signs of a launch, however, have been found.
Finally, the smartphone has turned up on Geekbench, confirming some of its specifications and hinting that it would be released shortly. Examining the specifics now
The Jio Phone 5G‘s model number is listed as LS1654QB5 on the Geekbench website. Two of the octa-core processor’s eight cores have a clock speed of 2.21 GHz, while the other six have a speed of 1.90 GHz.
The GPU, the Adreno 619, is partnered with the CPU. The Qualcomm entry-level 5G chipset supplied in this instance is the Snapdragon 480+ SoC.
The listing also confirms that the low-cost 5G smartphone from Jio would have 4GB of RAM. It should, at the very least, contain 64GB of internal storage. The phone will also come pre-installed with Android 12, according to the Geekbench listing.
It might have Jio’s forked version of Android, PragatiOS, on top. The skin was designed with Indian users in mind and supports a variety of regional languages.
The Jio Phone 5G scored 549 and 1661 respectively on Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
A few of the upcoming device’s specifications have already been leaked, despite the listing’s lack of additional information.

An HD+ LCD screen with a 6.5-inch size and a refresh rate of 90Hz is anticipated to be the Jio Phone 5G’s first feature, according to previous reports. A 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capability will be used to power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset.
An expected 13MP primary and 2MP secondary lens will make up the camera setup on the back. There is a rumoured 8MP camera on the front of the device. A Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, and other features are anticipated.
