Reliance Jio users across Kerala are facing a significant network outage, with thousands reporting issues related to mobile data, signal reception, and Jio Fiber services. The outage appears to have started early afternoon on June 16, with complaints doubling and spiking even higher since then.

The first indications of trouble appeared around 1:30 PM ET, and by 2:45 some 200 users had signaled difficulties accessing the network via the real-time tracking platform Downdetector. A little less than an hour later, at 2:17 p.m., complaints had soared above 12,000. On the platform, 56% of the users are complaining about the mobile data issues, the mobile signal problems have been reported by 29% with the rest 15% of the users have reported Jio Fiber issue.
Fam took to X to express and vent about it. Several posted screenshots of their smartphones that read “No Service” and appeared to be missing signal bars. Several users tagged Jio’s official support handle, demanding explanations and updates.
However, as of now, Reliance Jio has not released any official statement regarding the cause or expected resolution time of the outage. The disruption seems to be affecting Kerala primarily, but we can’t verify the scope of the issue at this point. Previous outages have generally been short lived and not widespread, but the sharp rise in reports this time indicates a more substantial technical problem.
The cause is yet to be determined. It may be because of a back-end server failure, technical update or a network configuration failure.
