According to official data, a total of 13,55,293 candidates registered, out of which 13,04,653 appeared for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech), recording an overall attendance of 96.26%.

Most students who score 100 percentile in Session 1 do not focus on Session 2. Instead, they immediately start preparing for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced 2026 is scheduled for May 17, 2026, conducted by IIT Roorkee — only the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers from JEE Main are eligible.
