Japhet Tanganga is being discussed between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest as a potential signing. The Premier League returnees have submitted a €25 million offer for the defender, but the player has not yet given the green light to the move.
This is because his priority is a move to AC Milan, who are still in the race to sign him. The Serie A champions are pushing to sign him as things stand, and an agreement is not close between Forest and Spurs right now.
Japhet Tanganga wants AC Milan over Nottingham Forest
The size of the club and the presence of Champions League football are two of the main reasons behind Japhet Tanganga pushing for a move to AC Milan.
His progress has been hindered by injuries, and with the arrival of Clement Lenglet, his opportunities have been further limited. So, he is set to be moved on by the end of the transfer window. But, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have restarted talks for the centre-back.
Tottenham want to include an obligation to buy the player after a loan spell, while Milan want only an option worth €25 million in the deal.
Fikayo Tomori is one of the central defenders that has found a lot of success since his move to San Siro from Chelsea. Tanganga could follow in his footsteps if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.
