Carmel Junior College U11s strike back to beat Hill Top School 7-0 in Week 9 of Jamshedpur Golden Baby League

The Jamshedpur Golden Baby League was at its free flowing best once again on Sunday morning as Carmel Junior College made up for past defeats by beating Hill Top School 7-0 in the U11 category of the Baby League. 

It was Carmel Alphas who picked up the huge win for their school, scoring goals for fun against Hill Top School Greenwood Jamshedpur and being solid at the back to take home the points in front of their parents and coaches. 

The second edition of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023, hosted by Jamshedpur FC in conjunction with Jharkhand Football Association (JFA) and Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA) has been divided into U5, U7, U9, U11 and U13 categories for the benefit of kids across the city. 

The 10-month long tournament will be held every Sunday morning at the Archery ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex to nurture development and add to the existing grassroots schools program run by the club during the week after school hours.

The Baby League has attracted large crowds and a huge number of students continuously since its inception in late February, and this Sunday saw one of its highest numbers yet, with a total of 126 students participating across age categories at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The U7 and U5 categories saw the highest numbers this week, with 30 students participating in each category, while 19 students took part in the U11 category, 29 in the U9s, and 18 students in the U13 category. 

The U5s played four matches, U7s played three matches, two matches were played by the U9s, while one each was played in the U11s and U13s.
