What Alan Ritchson Actually Said
Speaking to Collider, Ritchson confirmed: “Well, we finished shooting Season 4 of Reacher. It’s by far the best season we’ve had yet, so it’s coming. It’ll be out this year.” For a show that has kept fans waiting through writers’ strike delays and spin-off scheduling tangles, hearing the lead actor call it the best season yet with that kind of certainty is genuinely exciting.
Ritchson also shared that Season 4 features roughly 30 fight sequences across eight episodes — the most the show has ever attempted. That’s a remarkable number, and it signals a season that goes bigger in every direction.
What’s Season 4 Actually About?
Season 4 adapts Gone Tomorrow — the 13th book in Lee Child’s series. The story kicks off with Reacher riding the New York City subway at 2 AM, where he spots a suspicious woman who matches the profile of a suicide bomber. When he approaches her to help, she shoots herself, and Reacher’s guilt drives him to investigate. The woman, Susan Mark, was a Pentagon staffer who fled Washington D.C. before her death, pulling Reacher into a conspiracy involving a congressman with secrets tied to the Soviet-Afghan War. The Hollywood Reporter
It’s darker, more political, and more conspiracy-driven than earlier seasons — and given what Ritchson has said about the quality, this crime drama instalment could be the most talked-about yet.
Bonus: Could We Get Two Reacher Projects in 2026?
With Neagley wrapping filming five months before Reacher Season 4, and both Ritchson and Maria Sten set to appear, there’s a real possibility Prime Video could deliver two connected Reacher projects in the same year. Empire That would be an unprecedented treat for the fanbase. Stay up to date on all Prime Video and streaming news on TechnoSports.
