The tradition is officially dead. MBC confirms the 2026 Chuseok Idol Star Athletics Championships is cancelled due to scheduling chaos and safety concerns. No archery fails or relay races this holiday season.

Status: Cancelled for 2026. Reason: Production conflicts and idol welfare. Future: A total format revamp is likely before any return.

Fans, enjoy your idols' rare time off!
