iQOO is all set to launch a new Z series of smartphones in India. Recently, the Vivo sub-brand revealed that they will launch a new iQOO Z9s series intruder in India this coming Monday. While only the Z9s series was mentioned, we predict there will be at least two models. This is arriving just days after the launch of iQOO Z9 Lite 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. In the series, we have iQOO Z9 Turbo, iQOO Z9x 5G, and vanilla variants of both models.
The Upcoming iQOO Z9s Series
X post from Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India pointing at the forthcoming arrival of its new series called iQOO Z9s Series. While he did not specify an exact launch date, he confirmed that it would debut in August. The post revealed the phone’s rear design, featuring a rectangular camera module with three cameras and a ring-shaped LED light, a shift from the dual rear cameras seen on existing iQOO Z9 models.
The iQOO Z9s’ rear design aligns with the design language of the iQOO Z9 5G and iQOO Z9x 5G, both launched in India earlier this year. The new series is expected to include the iQOO Z9s and iQOO Z9s Pro models. The iQOO Z9 5G was launched at a starting price of ₹19,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the iQOO Z9x 5G is priced at ₹12,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model.
The iQOO Z9 5G is powered by the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC and, in contrast, the iQOO Z9x would carry a Snapdragon 6 Gen. The new smartphones will feature dual 50-megapixel rear cameras and support for 44W fast charging. The next iQOO Z9s series on the other hand are proposed to succeed their predecessors with improved features, and performance. Upcoming in August, the arrival of iQOO cements its presence within aggressive Indian markets.
