The iQOO Z9 Turbo is all set to make its debut in China as confirmed by the company. It is expected to complement the launched iQOO Z9 5G in India. Details about the iQOO Z9 Turbo have been gradually surfacing online over the weeks. A senior official from the company has now revealed the features of the smartphone and hinted at its launch timeline.
The All New iQOO Z9 Turbo
Jia Jingdong, Vice President of Vivo shared information about the iQOO Z9 Turbo on Weibo. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. It will come with a 6,000mAh battery. Moreover, it will feature a resolution 1.5K 144Hz display and have a sleek profile measuring just 7.89mm in thickness.
In photos posted by the Vivo executive we get a glimpse of the iQOO Z9 Turbo in a white color variant with a shiny finish. The rear camera setup resembles that of the iQOO 12 featuring a design with rounded corners housing two camera sensors. An indication suggests that these cameras will offer optical image stabilization (OIS) and are accompanied by an LED flash unit positioned outside the module. The power button and volume controls are situated on the side of the device.
The release date for the iQOO Z9 Turbo hasn’t been confirmed yet. There are indications that it might be unveiled this month. Xeng Ching, the Product Manager at iQOO teased about a launch through a series of posts on Weibo suggesting a month ahead. Notably, the posts were made from an iQOO Z9 Turbo handset as stated in the Weibo listing.
Previously, tipster Digital Chat Station suggested that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will feature a flat 6.78-inch OLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to come in 12GB or 16GB RAM variants with up to 512GB of onboard storage. The device may also support rapid 80W wired charging. In terms of photography, rumors point to a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide shots at the rear, and a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies at the front.
