MediaTek has been launching a lot of flagship smartphone chipsets late in 2022 and its absolute flagship Dimensity 9000 has already been launched but haven’t been used officially on any device yet. Thie new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 as per leaked benchmarks destroys Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 while getting close to A14 Bionic in terms of performance and efficiency.

Using TSMC’s 4nm process, the Dimensity 9000 is a much better chipset on paper and well you do not have to wait long to see it in action. As pointed out by Mukul Sharma and brought to you by Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster from China, iQOO is reportedly working to bring a new smartphone powered by this Dimensity 9000.

The Dimensity 9000 is the world’s first smartphone processor based on a 4nm process. The SoC is based on the new ARM v9 architecture with a 1+3+4 cluster.  It has a prime X2 core clocked at 3.05GHz along with three Cortex-A710 performance cores with a clock speed of 2.85GHz. There are four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The graphics and gaming performance is taken care of by a 10-core Mali-710 GPU.

As per the leak, this new iQOO smartphone will feature an FHD OLED display with 120Hz refresh, quite obvious for a flagship device. Also, the smartphone is set to feature a 4700mAh battery, which will be enough for a day of work, overall, these are preliminary rumours, expect more details coming soon.
