While the official launch date is yet to be confirmed, the iQOO 13 is expected to launch in a couple of weeks. A Weibo contributing tipster has revealed that the alleged iQOO 12 sequel might have an IP68-rated design thereby making it dust and water-resistant. It is also expected to be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for authentication. In addition to the base variant, we are also likely to see an iQOO 13 Pro.
All About the Upcoming iQOO 13
In its Weibo post, popular Chinese tipster shared that the iQOO 13 may come with support for 100W PPS fast charging and PD charging — features seen on the Vivo X100 series. This is a little step down from the iQOO 12’s expected 120W charging. Reports from earlier had said that it may keep the same charging speed as its predecessor. It should also go directly from here to the box, which may include a power supply.
The iQOO 13 should be equipped with a hole-punch display, which we reckon will be better than the BOE X2 Oriental screen. There is also some speculation that it will carry a USB 3.0 port and may be as thin as the 8.1 mm seen on Kuo’s smartphone spec lists for next year. The phone is expected to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that supports 2K resolution and has a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It might run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone is expected to house a triple rear camera system, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens. A 32MP front camera is also rumored. Additionally, the device could incorporate a new heat dissipation system with a single-layer motherboard for thermal management and include iQOO’s self-developed Q2 chip for enhanced gaming performance. The battery capacity is tipped to be 6,150mAh.
