iQOO has been diligently developing its forthcoming flagship, the iQOO 12, and several exciting details have emerged. The device is anticipated to sport a triple rear camera configuration, led by the impressive 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor. Notably, there are speculations that the phone may receive support for incredibly fast 200W charging.
The Upcoming iQOO 12
The launch date for the iQOO 12 in India has recently surfaced online. It’s noteworthy that the device is poised to be the inaugural device in India to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The launch is expected to take place by the end of this year, specifically around late November or early December.
This unveiling will closely follow Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for October 24, where the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be officially introduced. As most prominent launches from brands like Samsung and OnePlus are slated for the following year, the smartphone has the potential to be the first device in India to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Digital Chat Station had previously disclosed the camera specifications of the iQOO 12. The device is slated to feature a triple rear camera arrangement, headlined by a 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor. The secondary camera is expected to be a 50MP wide-angle lens equipped with the ISOCELL JN1 sensor, while the third camera is rumored to be a 64MP sensor with 3X optical zoom capability.
Furthermore, earlier reports from DCS suggested that the iQOO 12 might incorporate an astonishing 200W fast charging feature. It was also mentioned that the device could house a substantial 5000mAh battery. Additionally, the device is expected to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, allowing users to unlock their phones even with wet or damp fingers.
iQOO has maintained an aggressive pricing strategy in India, and given that the upcoming device will house the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset based on 3 nm technology, it could potentially be priced around the ₹75,000 range. The iQOO 12 Series is expected to comprise two variants—the iQOO 12 and the iQOO 12 Pro.
