iQOO is currently in the process of developing a new smartphone as part of its iQOO 11 series. The upcoming device, known as the iQOO 11S, is expected to feature improved fast charging capabilities and enhanced performance. This smartphone will be the final flagship release from iQOO before the launch of the iQOO 12 series. Recent listings on China’s MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) indicate that the launch of the iQOO 11S is imminent, with reports suggesting a July release.
All You Need to Know about the Upcoming iQOO 11S
Jia Jingdong, the Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy at Vivo China shared an image of the iQOO 11S on Weibo, providing an official glimpse of its design. The shared image reveals a design similar to the vanilla iQOO 11 smartphone, although no images of the front and sides of the device were shared. The rear camera layout also mirrors that of the vanilla iQOO 11, with the iQOO branding visible at the middle of the bottom of the device.
The MIIT listing revealed the model number as V2304A and confirmed 5G support, but did not disclose the official moniker or other specifications of the device. As per Digital Chat Station, iQOO intends to incorporate an enhanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset into the iQOO 11S. There are also rumors suggesting that the device might feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC and a large 5000mAh battery. Additionally, it is speculated that iQOO will introduce upgraded 200W fast charging technology and retain the 6.78-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Sources indicate that iQOO plans to launch the iQOO 11S in international markets, and there are reports of the device being released in two variants. The smartphone is expected to come with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage options. It is rumored to be available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. In terms of camera specifications, the iQOO 11S is said to feature a 50MP primary sensor with Vivo’s V2 imaging sensor. Recent reports suggest that the device will be available for sale in China starting from July 8.
The vanilla iQOO 11, on the other hand, boasts a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The Corning Gorilla Glass Victus ensures the protection of the display. Under the hood, it is powered by a standard Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The device features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, iQOO utilizes a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.5 aperture. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging technology.
