The highly anticipated IPL Final between GT and CSK was unable to take place on Sunday, 28th May 2023 due to heavy rainfall. Heavy rain forced the match to be called off, resulting in a complete washout with not a single ball being bowled. The IPL final was scheduled to take place on Monday, 29th May 2023. This is the first time in the history of the IPL that the final showdown has been postponed due to rain, leaving fans disappointed and eagerly awaiting for the thrilling clash.

The IPL final started as expected at 7:30 pm tonight and GT scored a huge total of 214 for just 4 wickets with Sai Sudharsan scoring 96 runs off 47 balls. However, as CSK started their chase of 215 runs off 20 overs, they could only play 3 balls and score 4 runs as rain once again stopped play.
