IPL 2022, IPL went completely unexpected. The new entrants performed really well while two of the strongest teams had their worst sessions. Before the league started a huge auction was held. This December, a mini-auction will be arranged where franchises have released 90 players, and the other franchises can buy them. In this article, let’s take a look at the underrated players who have the possibility of being high in demand.

1. Paul Stirling

The list starts with Irish batter Paul Stirling. He has mustered 3282 runs in 121 matches at a strike rate of 134.78. He played 319 games in the shortest format and got 7818 runs at a fantastic strike rate of 141.86. He’s known to play fearless cricket and is equipped with off-spin bowling. A lot of franchises will be eyeing him for this cash-rich tournament.

2. Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan has given consistent performances in T20, playing 290 games and mustering 7895 runs at a strike rate of 129.44. His form has been exceptional internationally where he mustered 1748 runs. He can understand and adapt to a game really well. He also did a good job hitting 377 runs in nine games at a strike rate of 1661.81 in The Hundred. With his performance, he can be sold for a really high price.

3. Sikandar Raza

Raza has had a total of 151 appearances in T20 and mustered 3033 runs at a strike rate of 130.39. He got 74 wickets at an economy of 7.27. In T20s, he mustered 735 runs in 24 ODIs at a strike rate of 150.92. His bowling performance is also excellent, with 25 scalps at an economy of 6.13. All these qualities make him a very much wanted player in the richest league of T20s.

4. Tabraiz Shamsi

Shamsi has played a total of 204 games in the T20 format and called 237 wickets overall at an economy rate of 7.23. He is known for his variations and can handle pressure at every situation. Any franchise will love to purchase him in the upcoming mini-auction.

5. Dasun Shanaka

The Sri Lankan player is the perfect finisher for a squad. He played 82 T20Is and scored 1204 runs at a strike rate of 117.57. He played 25 T20Is and mustered 497 runs at a strike rate of 135.79. He bagged 21 wickets at an economy of 8.10 in T20Is. He can be the perfect all-rounder package that a franchise looks for.

6. Daryl Mitchell

The kiwi player has been featured in 41 T20Is and mustered 786 runs at a strike rate of 139.11 and scalped seven wickets for his national team. He has been terrific with the bat in the T20Iw mustering 394 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 143.79. His ability to bat in both top and middle order further adds brownie points. With Rajasthan Royals releasing him, he’s all up for grabs.

7. Ish Sodhi

The India-born New Zealand cricketer proved his worth in the T20 format. He played a total of 88 T20Is and got 111 scalps at an economy of 8.03. He is an important part of New Zealand’s bowling department and in the recently held T20 World Cup, he got six wickets in five games. In IPL he has bagged six scalps in five games. His bowling skills can get him offers from a lot of franchises

8. Kushal Mendis

Kushal Mendis played 49 games and mustered 1059 runs at a strike rate of 129.62. In the T20 World Cup 2022, he mustered 223 runs at a tremendous strike rate of 142.94 and bagged two fifties. His ability to hit any bowler and his keeping skills can make a lot of franchises take interest in him.

9. Sheldon Jackson

This player has been a run machine for 80 first-class games and mustered 6020 runs at an average of 50.16. In T20 he has got 1690 runs in 77 matches at a strike rate of 119.77. He has been playing IPL for more than 10 years but unfortunately, got to play only nine games. He can grab good deals considering his performance.

10. Joshua Little

The youngster has played 83 games in T20 and scalped 105 wickets. Internationally, he bagged 39 wickets in 26 T20Is in the T20 World Cup he bagged 11 wickets in seven games at an economy of 7.00. He had a hat trick against the Black Caps. At the Hundred 2022, he picked 13 wickets in five games. His performance is very impressive and he can be bought for huge bucks.
