Kolkata Knight Riders travelled to face Gujarat Titans in Match 13 of IPL 2023. What an extraordinary match we had! Gujarat Titans scored 204/4 in the 20 overs. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan scored in the opening over which was followed by a quickfire 63 runs of 24 balls by Vijay Shankar.
As KKR came on to bat their openers were ineffective and were out cheaply. Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana steadied the ship for KKR in the middle overs. However, Rashid Khan took the first hat trick of IPL 2023 as he bowled out Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur.

Everyone thought it was all over for KKR before Rinku Singh came to the party. He scored a 6 and 4 in the penultimate over of the innings as KKR still needed 29 runs from 6 balls in the last over. Umesh Yadav took one single to give the batting to Rinku Singh and what followed after that was pure madness!
Rinku Singh took Yash Dayal to the cleaners as he hit 5 consecutive sixes to win the match for KKR in extraordinary circumstances. He was the Player Of The Match as he just did the unthinkable and snatched victory from the jaws of their opponent.
